Aram Shishmanian was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the World Gold Council in January 2009
Prior to joining, he had over 30 years’ experience as a management Consultant. During his three decade tenure at Accenture, he held a number of leadership roles, including Global Managing Partner of the financial markets industry practice and Senior Partner. He has worked with many of the world’s leading financial institutions at senior executive levels and has extensive international experience.
Aram has also served as a Non-Executive Director at several UK and European institutions He was an independent member of the International Executive of Hogan Lovells LLP, one of the leading global law firms and of Resolution PLC. He served as the Chairman of a financial services risk management consulting practice and a Board member of the Swiss private client asset manager. He has been a trustee of a number charities, including Marie Cure, and a member of the International Advisory Board of Cass Business School.
Mr. Shishmanian holds a BA in Economics and an MBA.
